This Privacy Policy explains how Fishing Times: Solunar (“Fishing Times”, “the app”) handles information when you use the application.
Fishing Times is developed and published by Anish K.S. The app provides solunar fishing forecasts, major and minor fishing periods, sun and moon information, fishing reminders and related tools.
Location Information
Fishing Times can use your device’s current location to calculate location-specific fishing and solunar information.
Location access is optional and is requested only when you choose to use a feature that requires your current location. The app may request approximate or precise location permission depending on Android settings and the permission you grant.
Fishing Times does not use background location tracking.
Your current coordinates are used by the app to calculate forecasts. Fishing Times does not operate a developer server that receives your fishing location or saved fishing spots.
You can deny or revoke location permission at any time through your Android device settings. Features that require your current location may not work without this permission.
Fishing Spots and App Preferences
Fishing Times allows you to optionally save fishing spots on your device.
A saved spot may contain:
- A spot name
- Latitude and longitude
- Time zone information
Saved fishing spots are stored locally in the app’s private storage.
Fishing Times also stores app preferences locally, including settings such as theme, time and date formats, selected default fishing spot, fishing alert settings and notification lead time.
The app does not provide cloud synchronization for these records.
Display Name
Fishing Times allows you to enter an optional display name for the greeting shown inside the app.
This name is stored locally on your device. It is not a Fishing Times account or login identity.
Fishing Times does not require an email address, phone number or password to use the app.
Fishing Forecasts
Fishing Times performs its solunar and astronomy calculations on your device.
The app does not send your fishing spots to a developer-operated forecast, weather, tide, map or reverse-geocoding server for these calculations.
Fishing Alerts and Notifications
Fishing Times can schedule optional fishing reminders locally on your device.
Notification content may include information such as the selected fishing spot name, fishing period, time, time zone and rating.
Depending on your Android notification and lock-screen settings, notification information may be visible on your device’s lock screen.
Fishing Times does not use a developer-operated push notification server for these reminders.
Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
Fishing Times uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertising.
Google’s advertising technology may automatically process certain information when advertisements are requested or displayed. Depending on your device, region, consent choices and Google’s services, this information may include:
- IP address, which may be used to derive approximate location
- Device or advertising identifiers
- App and advertisement interactions
- Diagnostic information
- Information used for advertising measurement
- Information used for fraud prevention and security
Fishing Times does not intentionally add your locally stored display name or saved fishing spot coordinates to its Google Mobile Ads requests.
Google’s handling of information through its advertising services is governed by Google’s applicable privacy policies and advertising controls.
Advertising Privacy Choices
Fishing Times integrates Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising consent and privacy choices where required.
Available consent forms and privacy options can vary depending on your location, applicable law and the configuration of Google’s advertising services.
Where Google requires a privacy-options entry point, Fishing Times provides access to the applicable advertising privacy choices.
Analytics and Diagnostics
Fishing Times does not integrate Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics or a separate third-party analytics or crash-reporting service.
However, Google advertising components used by the app include advertising measurement and diagnostic functionality. Therefore, some technical, interaction and diagnostic information may be processed by Google as part of providing its advertising services.
Information We Do Not Request
Fishing Times does not require a user account.
The app does not request your:
- Email address for an app account
- Phone number
- Password
- Contacts
- SMS messages
- Call information
- Camera or microphone data
- Health information
- Payment details
How Information Is Used
Information handled by Fishing Times is used to:
- Calculate location-specific fishing and solunar information
- Save optional fishing spots on your device
- Remember your app preferences
- Schedule fishing reminders
- Provide and measure advertising
- Support advertising security and fraud prevention
- Maintain the functionality of the app and integrated services
Fishing Times does not sell your locally stored fishing spots, display name or preferences.
Local Data Storage
Fishing spots, your optional display name and Fishing Times preferences are stored in the app’s private storage on your Android device.
Fishing Times does not add a separate application-level encryption layer to this locally stored information. Storage protection therefore depends on Android’s application isolation and your device’s security features.
Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored Fishing Times data remains on your device until it is changed or deleted, the app’s storage is cleared, or the application is uninstalled.
Individual saved fishing spots can be deleted within Fishing Times. Deleting a spot also clears app settings linked to that spot where applicable.
Your optional display name can be replaced with the default Guest name.
You can also remove locally stored app data through Android’s application settings or by uninstalling Fishing Times.
Deleting local Fishing Times data does not necessarily delete information that has already been processed independently by Google through its advertising services. Google’s own retention periods, privacy controls and deletion practices apply to information processed by Google.
Data Security
Fishing Times relies on Android’s application security and private app-storage mechanisms to protect locally stored information.
Network communications performed by integrated Google services are subject to the security practices of those services.
No method of storage or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third-Party Services
Fishing Times uses third-party technology where necessary to provide certain functionality, particularly Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform.
Third-party providers may process information independently according to their own privacy policies, terms and applicable legal requirements.
Children’s Privacy
Fishing Times is a general-purpose fishing utility.
The app is not designed specifically for children. Fishing Times does not knowingly request personal information from children through an app account because the application does not provide user account registration.
Advertising behavior may also depend on the audience settings and advertising configuration applicable to the published version of the app.

You can control various aspects of Fishing Times through the app and Android settings.
You can:
